Surya Henna Best for Women with Greyer Hair

Surya Henna Best for Women with Greyer Hair

Hair Care, Hair Color
After having read all the previous reviews about the experiences women had with Surya henna cream, and noticing some gaps in the feedback, I was prompted to tell about my experience with the product in the dark brown color. I am a 50 year old Caucasian woman with long brown hair (angled, slightly layered, ending on my back near top of bra closure) which, left undyed, is about 15% brownish grey plus 15% really grey in the layer under my hair. As I've aged and neared menopause, my formerly thick straight shiny hair has become frizzy and coarse especially in those grey areas. Furthermore, left undyed, the only thing that keeps my hair shiny, frizz-free, and less grey looking, is the use of a straightening iron, so that it does not look so "way out there" thick (like Gilda Radner's hair...

Natural Henna for hair coloring – Body Art Quality

Hair Color
20 Hours post Henna I have been planning to do Henna for some time now and this week I finally did it. I have been having increasingly worse reactions to commercial hair color (severe scalp itch, even sores) and I know that is a bad omen as it only gets worse and sensitizes you to even more things. I read a lot of posts and reviews of natural henna - body art henna, not the stuff that is sold as hair color in a variety of different shades* - before I made a purchase. I am thrilled with the results. It wasn't nearly as hard to do as some of the warnings I had read and the results were perfect. No itchy scalp and wonderful shiny color. My color was also applied over recently colored hair, with no problems. If my hair were a lighter shade to start with, the color wou...

Bear Fruit Hair

Hair Care
I was home one morning watching the news. An African American Arizona native came on to discuss her new hair care line, Bear Fruit Hair. She had always fought with taming her dry hair throughout the year. She decided the best thing to do was create a hair care line that provided the needs of her hair as well as other Arizona natives. She creates most of her only line with simple ingredients. Most of which is essential oils. She also offers a create your own conditioner line. I bought some of her conditioner (oh she does not sell shampoo because it is the most damaging for your hair, stripping it of all your own oils and then conditioning it with oils that do not benefit your hair) and since the product works great. A couple times a week I wash my hair with a dab of my tea tree...

Tints of Nature : Safer More Natural Hair Color

Hair Color
This time I tried Tints Of Nature Permanent Hair Color. I last reviewed EcoColors and it is a product that works well for me but I know from past experience that it is only a matter of time before I start experiencing problems. When itching and burning start upon application I know it is time to move on. I don't quite understand it but I can use some products for quite a while before I have any problems. This time I am preparing myself in advance. I want to find something to use when my present product becomes a problem. Possibly for me alternating products will make a difference too. It's not easy finding products with my requirements: Low chemicals especially ppd's. No ammonia. No parabens. No animal testing I discovered Tints of Nature and it fits my needs plus...
